Too Much Fun

I was looking at the pictures that Jeanette had given me from our Mothers Day Party last night and Kyle was laughing at them and saying how much fun it looked like we were having. Then he asked if we could go there. So I called Erin and Liz and we all met at Gateway for some Fountain Fun! At first Chloe, Seth and Sam were a little timid and mostly watched Madi and Kyle splashing around (Chloe & Seth got there before us and were wet and a little cold), and then the Olympic Music started and the fun really began!!! Madi was an amazing conductor of the Olympic Anthem while the water obeyed her every command, while Kyle was chopping bad guys left and right. Seth and Chloe got braver as the water eased up a little, while Sam got very close, fake us out, and then back away very carefully. By the end Sam was very brave and but his hand over one of the spouts, only to have the water spray up right at that moment and get him right in the face!! What a blast!:)

SO THANKFUL!!!!

Wednesday started out like any other day. The kids are off track so I've taken some days off, and we just played around, went out to lunch to McDonald's, then went to the park, then I was off to Young Women's. My second councilor needed to leave early, so she took off, and headed for home. My First councilor came to me with her phone, and I was thinking Who would call me on her phone? Well it was my second councilor and she said she was driving home and she thought that Kyle had been hit by a car. I ran out of the church and started driving home. Sure enough Kyle had been riding his bike home from a neighbors house, and was hit two doors down on the road leading to our house off the busy street. Jeff was in the front yard playing basketball and saw the whole thing happen. Besides a little road rash and being pretty shaken up, miraculously Kyle is fine. I am SO THANKFUL to a Heavenly Father who loves us and protects us Daily.

GIRLS CAMP was so amazing!!! If any of you get the opportunity to go the the Heber Valley Girls Camp, Definitely take it!!! We stayed in the Marjory Pay Hinckley site, and it was beautiful! We had the opportunity to do the ropes course, and it might not look like it from these pictures, but it was the scariest thing I've ever done in my whole life!!!! First you climb up a telephone pole, then you have to walk across a wire that is run to another telephone pole to the eagles nest, then finally you get to ride the zip line town to safety. I'm not sure when it happened (probably in my old age) but I am really afraid of heights. I get all shaky just thinking about it. What a rush!!!! Besides a few mishaps it was a wonderful experience, but I'm glad we have a year before the next camp. I'm exhausted!!!

New Pages

I scrapbooked most of the day for my 30th Birthday (Aug. 15), and It was a much needed creative outlet. It seems like forever since I sat down in the office to do anything that wasn't related to Young Women's (or Youth Conference or Girls Camp. See what I mean)! I felt like I got a lot done, and even got some back Journaling done!!! I've always loved this hobby, but have found it hard to get inspired lately, so I just clicked onto Erin's past publishing's on her blog, and there it was calling to me the whole time!!! THANK YOU Erin for being so inspiring with all of your freakish artistic abilities!!! I love everything you do!!! I'm begining to think you have the Midas Touch Baby Sis.

What a Spaz!!!

8-13-08
11:53
Kyle & I are sitting @ the counter eating lunch and listening to Miss Sweeney by Weezer, and Kyle says, "This is a date song huh!" I ask, "What do you mean?" He says, "It's not hard rock at all!" What a spaz!!!
11:56
Same day, same place.
I ask how his PB&J is and he says, "Delicious!" and leans over and gives me a kiss. I tell him his kiss tastes delicious too, and he rubs the sandwich over his lips and gives me another kiss!!!
LIKE I SAID WHAT A SPAZ!!!!!

Youth Conf.

What a BLAST!!!! We started out at Camp Williams, and did the repell tower (No that is NOT me, one of the downfalls of being the photographer, It is My 2nd Councilor and one of our girls who was scared to death, but did it anyway!!!) then 9 kope coarses, then off to Payson Lakes!! We canoed, swam, built rafts, palyed, and laughed so hard (note the massage line on the last day). We had a Guest Speaker and a 2 1/2 hour testimony meeting (I went through an entire bag of kleenex and had very swollen eyes in the morning) Over all I think it went VERY well and would do it again in a heartbeat (Oh ya, I am in about 9 days HA! HA! HA!) A HUGE THANKS to Liz and Dan for watching the kids (Sorry it was hellish, Let Me know if you are Planning the 24th and when your dropping of the kid? SERIOUSLY!!!!)

Madison turns 8!!!

I think having a birthday in the summer is the best! The greatest part is getting to celebrate your birthday while your on vacation! Madi loved having the Clan around for her big day, and she especially loved having her cake and ice cream around the CAMP FIRE!!! Thanks Becky for the ice cream that made her day!!!

Might be my new favorite game!!!

The Skittles Game. Sounds innocent enough right? I like skittles, so how do you play? Well, all you have to do is shake two dice and put the number of skittles you rolled into your mouth, that's it though NO CHEWING unless you get you get DOUBLES OR AN ELEVEN!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! Thanks to Wendy and the rest of the Steeneck's for teaching us this fun new game, and providing the skittles!

Madi's ALMOST Eight!!!

Madison will be eight on Friday!!! I can't believe that this is happening to me! My baby girl will hit yet another mile stone in her life that brings her just a little closer to adulthood. I know that is a bit away (at least I keep telling myself this) but each day gets us a little closer! By the way, this my first attempt at a digital layout. What do you think? It was fun, but not the same as the real deal!

Goodbye GG

Goodbye G.G. (Great Grandma)
On Sunday evening Marian Smith returned to the arms of her loving husband as she ended her mission here on earth. G.G. had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. She was a wonderful example of how to be a missionary and never missed an opportunity to bear her testimony. She was a strong and wonderful woman and although we know this parting is temporary, we will miss her so much. Thanks to My Mom & Dad and sisters for all your help and support during this past week. I couldn't have made it with out you .

The Gap

Man, Oh Man! Is is that time already? Well I guess so, Kyle lost his first tooth on Monday, and hasn't stopped smiling for any and everyone to see! Not long before he'll have his jack-o-lantern smile, who knows maybe it will be just in time for Halloween!!!!

Pre-School Program

The Pre-School area is over for the McMillan Family:( I can't believe My Baby has Graduated from Pre-School, but since it had to be done, it was done with a bang (Sandra Alquist style)! If some of you haven't seen a Pre-School program by Sandra please let me know. It is definitely worth sitting through a home video I PROMISE!!! Kyle could see us from the stage, and kept smiling for the camera. I got some pretty great shots!!!
