Oh SO Pretty!

I was So looking forward to our trip to the SAND DUNES!! The kids and I were counting down the days, and had a blast planning and shopping for all the sand dune necessities, but when we got there it was very windy, (So windy I didn't even get my camera out) and that makes for a very gritty experience. We had fun playing and roasting marshmallows (I think Madi ate a whole bag by herself) and playing games in Tom & Jenn's trailer (THANKS to Tom and Jenn for letting us crash in their trailer). On Saturday we got ready to ride (Still windy, but with goggles securely in place we were ready to roll). We were having a blast, and Madi and I decided it was time for more fun. Russ and Meagan along with Jeff and Kyle headed over with us to the little dunes where we rode around in the bowls and powered up the hills. Madi and I were having the time of our lives, when suddenly we came to an abrupt stop (at least our four wheeler did. From what I can gather I kept moving.) My googlies flew off and I felt like the wind was knocked out of me when Madi hit into me from behind, but we were OK, and headed back to camp. Apparently I hit my fore head and eye somewhere, because this is what I was left with. Sadly my eye hurts the least. My ribs are killing me, (I think they hit the handle bars) and on Sunday I could hardly roll out of bed. Oh well, at least I have a good story to go along with why I look Oh SO Pretty!!!

A Walk With Grandpa

Last Thursday we went to visit Grandma & Grandpa Thomson. It was a little chilly, but we decided to go for a walk to see the elk with Grandpa and Sam. We had a blast!! The kids had so much fun making discoveries on the way. We found acorns, 2 hot rod cars, and multiple horses (some of which came running over to us to say hello). It is awesome that just a few miles away from hustle and bustle of everyday life there is natures wild just waiting there for you when you are willing to take the time to enjoy it~ I'm so glad we did!!! Thanks Dad for a wonderful afternoon!!!

Correction

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, OK! It was Laura who corrected my spelling mishap, not Becky. That only makes it worse. It's expected of Becky, but Laura. Man I'd better hit spell check before I make another post. (Actually I just noticed there is a spell check option on the blogger!) Truly Thank You Laura. That could have been very embarrassing!
A big thanks to Becky for being my human spell checker! I guess that just isn't in my GENES!!!

Music Lover

Kyle loves to listen to music, but nothing too slow or instrumental, because that means it's "a sad song." Yesterday while Madison was at gymnastics this is what Kyle did. Listened to his play list on my i-pod. He even got up a few times to rock out, booty shaking and everything. He keeps the other spectators very entertained!

Gene Pool

Like Mother like daughter, Like father like son. Did I mention that Madison is very bendy (like Mom), well, Kyle is not (like Dad). This is his attempt at a back bend, But what he lacks in flexibility, he definitely makes up for in style! Rock on baby,

Rock on!!!

Goodbye Douglas

Well, today we let our pet shake "Douglas" go in our back yard. The kids have had so much fun catching garden snakes in our back yard and Douglas was our first this spring. By the way, the kids named him Douglas after our neighbor Doug Tibbits, what an honor! I'm sure he won't be the last snake to be our short term second pet.

It's Official

It's official!!! Madison can do a back bend kick over by herself, which made it so she moved up a class in gymnastics today! She worked so hard on this trick, and is catching on to others very quickly!

(7 of 50) AKA Madison

My name is Krista, and it's been 10 days since my last scrapbook purchase!! Wow, that feels good! I am loving using felt on my layouts! I'd like to thank Mrs. Erin Alece for this little addiction, but at about 15 cents a sheet it might be the most affordable addiction I've had yet.

(6 of 50) So Thankful

I am so thankful to come from such a wonderful family! My parents have taught me so much about the kind of parent I hope to be by their examples. I am very fortunate to have 6 sisters to laugh with, cry with, be crazy silly with, and to share so many fun experiences and memories with. And last but not least my BABY brother, although he 's about a foot taller and 50 pounds heaver than me, I'll always ALWAYS refer to him, affectionately as my BABY brother. Hey Tom, I've earned the right! (I still have some of the battle wounds to prove it!)

(5 of 50) And this is my joy

I am so thankful for Jeff, Madison, and Kyle, they truly bring me so much joy and happiness! I am so lucky to be married to the man of my dreams, He truly is my best friend! And to be the mother to the two cutest kids in the whole world ain't a bad bit either! (WINK,WINK)!

(4 of 50) My Man Is...

Can I tell you how hard it is to get Jeff to pose for a picture if he's not doing something stupid? Well I'll just say it's pretty hard.

(3 of 50) AKA Kyle

I think we have about 100 different names we call Kyle, Here are a few of our favorites!

(Pages 1 & 2 of 50) Halloween 2006

I used some of the flocking and foil rub on's that I bought at the Making Memories sale for $1 on this page. What a deal. I bought them not really knowing what they were, and figured if I didn't like them the kids could have fun with them, well they're much too good for children, and I love the effect of the flocking!!! By the way these are the first 2 pages to count toward my goal of completing 50 new scrapbook pages before I buy another scrapbooking thing!!! I hope I have the will power.

Madi started taking Gymnastics yesterday and is love, love loving it. Her teacher says next week she will move up to the advanced class (she's very bendy). She asked me this morning if I thought she would make the University of Utah Gymnastics team? One trick at a time baby, one trick at a time!

Madi

I love this picture of Madi. this was taken on the steps of our old home. I used my new pearl gems that I bought a wile age from Hobby Lobby. Thank Erin for turning me on to their gems! Like I need another thing to hoard!! Still looking for a hoarders anonymous!

Madi gets a new do

I used some of the new buttons that Erin and I made from paper clay! They are so FABULOUS! I am liking doodling on my pages, and I'm not so worried about messing them up any more. Just focusing on having fun. Isn't that what it's all about?

What I know for sure

I love being a Mom, and although sometimes the responsibilities can get a little overwhelming, it is my favorite job in the world! What I know for sure is that I love Madison and Kyle more than I ever dreamed possible, and my goal is that they will know this always.

Storytime

My favorite time of the day. I love that we have evolved from Me of Jeff reading to the kids, to Madi or Kyle reading to us! So much fun!

crazy about you girl

A fun way to get Madi to pose for yet another photo shoot, pull crazy faces. We both had a blast taking these!

Melts My Heart

Learning a an early age that girls are suckers for flowers. What a heart breaker.

Brought to you by the letter M

You would think that I wouldn't have any M's left after this page, but sadly it didn't even make a dent. I think I might have a little problem with hording. What do you think? Is there such a thing as hoarders anonymous?

Precious to Me

And I wonder why my green button stash is dangerously low? I'd like to thank Chelsea Jackson for feeding my button addiction. Thanks Chels, You're the best!!! I love ya Babe!!!

Truce

I love little moments like these, when everybody is happy and getting along. I feel like I need to take more pictures in these moments so when it's crazy, Ill remember that a truce is just around the corner!

The Pout

I think this picture is so funny, because he really was happy, but pulled this face to be silly, but it truly is the pout face he pulls when he doesn't get his way. Classic Kyle!

Mine

This is the first page that I wrote a HUGE journaling block by hand! Heidi Swapp challenges in "love your handwriting" to use your own hand writing. I think the next time I write a huge journaling block I won't use Bazil paper. The Texture made it difficult.

Dancer

I DOODLED on a Page!!! This was very hard for me, but I had lots of fun doing it, and will definitely do it again!

Madison's 7th Birthday

The day started out with Micky Mouse pancakes, then Kyle and I suprised Madi with a Happy Meal for lunch at school. Madi took doughnuts to share with her class, and got to be the line leader for the day. Ofcourse she liked the beaters from the frosting for her cake, that's a tradition, and then the Fam. came over to CELEBRATE!!! What a Day!

My Brother

This is so true, for the most part Madi & Kyle get along pretty good but when they don't, THEY DON'T, but Madi will stick up for she little brother until the death if they try to pick on him.

A Breath of Fresh Air

I love using the printer for My layouts I don't have a large format printer, so I just cut my 12x12 paper to 8 1/2 by 12 and feed through both peices of the paper to print on the top and bottom of the page, then place a ribbon or other embellishment over the cut line!

Fun New Font!

I used a font that Chelsea found from kevinandamanda.com for my Title called Rebekah's Birthday. I think this might be my new favorite font!!!

Great Day

Today has been a good day. Madi and Kyle have been getting along great, which always makes for a happy mom!

What a Great Easter Picture
